DARPA PREPARE Proposers Day

The Biological Technologies Office (BTO) of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is hosting a Proposers Day for the potential proposer community in support of a planned Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for the PREPARE Program.  The Proposers Day will be held on June 13, 2018 from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM ET at the Westin Arlington Gateway in Arlington, VA.  Advanced registration is required.  Note, all time listed in this announcement and on the registration website are in Eastern Time.

The goals of the Proposers Day include:

  • Introducing the PREPARE program vision and goals;
  • Explaining the mechanics of a DARPA program in general and the objectives and milestones of this program in particular; and
  • Encouraging and promoting teaming arrangements among organizations that have the relevant expertise, research facilities, and capabilities for executing research and development responsive to the PREPARE program goals.

Registration is limited by the venue capacity, and early registration is strongly recommended. The registration cutoff date is Friday, June 8, 2018 at 3:00 PM ET, or once attendance capacity is met, whichever comes first. There will be no on-site registration. Interested parties are encouraged to coordinate attendance internally within their organizations prior to registration. Physical attendance is limited to no more than two representatives per division/department.

Participants must register in advance through the registration website. There will be a $35 registration fee for the Proposers Day.

This form and submission instructions will be provided in the registration confirmation email.

Participation

Interested attendees are invited to present a brief one-slide PowerPoint summary of their interests, capabilities, and teaming goals (see Attachment 1). While these topics are recommended, slide content is at the discretion of the presenter. Single slides will be allowed 3 minutes for discussion during a “lightning” presentation session at Proposers Day. Presentations consisting of multiple slides will not be granted a time slot.

Requests for lightning talks and sidebar meetings will be accepted on a first-come basis until time constraints are reached. You will have the opportunity to sign up for these on the registration form. All presentations must be emailed to DARPA-SN-18-45@darpa.mil no later than 3:00 PM ET on June 8, 2018. Specific content, communications, networking, and team formation are the sole responsibility of the participants.
