Introduction
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Tactical Technology Office (TTO) is sponsoring a Competitors' Day to provide information to potential participants on the objectives of the DARPA Launch Challenge. The formal DARPA Launch Challenge Guidelines will be provided in late-April via www.DARPALaunchChallenge.org. The Competitors' Day will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at The L.A. Grand Hotel Downtown in Los Angeles, California. The full agenda is listed on this website. The event will be webcast for those who would like to participate remotely. Advance registration is required for both the physical meeting and the webcast. Note, all times listed in this announcement and on the registration website are Pacific Daylight Time.
Registration Information
PLEASE NOTE: Registration for physical participation will close on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 12:00PM PDT or when venue capacity is reached and webinar participation will close on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 12:00PM PDT or when webinar capacity is reached.
Registration is limited by the venue capacity, and early registration is strongly recommended. There will be no on-site registration.
Participants must register in advance through this registration website. Early registration is strongly recommended. Due to space limitations, attendance for the Competitors' Day will be limited to the first 250 registrants. Remote participation via webcast is limited to 500 participants. Interested parties are encouraged to coordinate attendance internally within their organizations prior to registration. Physical attendance is limited to no more than three representatives per division/department. Individuals who are unable to register because the deadline has occurred or capacity has been reached will be added to a waitlist. If slots remain open after registration closes or become available due to cancellations, the slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis from the waitlist.

The Competitors' Day will be unclassified and open only to registered potential participants. Media with inquiries should contact DARPA Public Affairs at outreach@darpa.mil.
Upon entry to the event, all participants will be required to present Government-issued photo identification.
Attendance at the Starting the Countdown – DARPA Launch Challenge Competitors' Day is voluntary and is not required to participate in subsequent competitions on this topic. There will not be a formal solicitation issued for this competition. This announcement is issued solely for information and program planning purposes and is not a Request for Information (RFI). Since this is not an RFI, no submissions against this notice will be accepted by the Government. DARPA will not provide reimbursement for costs incurred to participate in this Competitors' Day.
