DARPA's Biological Technologies Office (BTO) is directing Ag x BTO, a multi-year effort to fund breakthrough technologies that keep America's food supply safe and resilient.
This half-day seminar delivers a comprehensive briefing on the program's goals, funding pathways, and partnership opportunities.
Registration fee covers the cost of meeting room rental, coffee, and a boxed lunch.
DARPA is looking for innovative ideas to develop novel capabilities for national security. DARPA's Biological Technologies Office (BTO) wishes to catalyze future efforts to defend agriculture against threats both naturally occuring and manmade. Areas of interest include:
Advances to early warning systems for chemical and biological threat surveillance and detection
Rapid response agricultural countermeasures to defend against threats
Massively accelerated and expanded crop protection for long-term threat defeat
Integrated and comprehensive threat prediction and modeling for our agricultural systems
Novel methods to assess the occurrence of human intervention and to attribute provenance
Event Participation
Event Registration (In Person and Virtual)
All participants are required to register for the meeting. In-person participation has a $25 registration fee, which covers the cost of meeting room rental, coffee, and a boxed lunch (to include sandwich, chips, whole fruit, cookie, and bottled water; modifications for dietary restrictions are available). There is no registration fee for virtual participation.
Registration must be completed by Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 5:00 PM Central.
Eligibility (In Person and Virtual)
All registrants who are not U.S. Citizens must complete and submit either a DARPA Form 60 (U.S. Permanent Resident and Foreign National Visit Request—e.g., industry or academia) or an Official Visit Request (foreign government personnel, only) through the Embassy based in Washington, DC, no later than Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 5:00 PM Central. Form 60 submission instructions will be provided in the registration confirmation email. Contact your Embassy staff for assistance in submitting the Official Visit Request.
